Evening of Astronomy: From the Earth to the Moon

Caryl D. Philips Space Theater

Friday, July 19, 2019, 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Join us for a few of our Astronomy staff's favorite episodes of From the Earth to the Moon! This amazing 12-part HBO miniseries was co-produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Tom Hanks, and won two Emmy and two Golden Globe Awards. We will screen Part 6: Mare Tranquilitatis and Part 10: Galileo Was Right.

Attendees of the program will be eligible for a signed episode script from screenwriter Erik Bork, who wrote several episodes of the award-winning series -- and also happens to be a native Daytonian!

Admission to this after-hours educational program is free to the public, but donations to support astronomy education at the Museum can be made at the door. Live observing will continue throughout the evening in the Apollo Observatory (weather permitting).
