The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery's Sensory Sunday program offers extended hours for local families with a member who has a sensory disorder, such as being on the autism spectrum. During these special hours, the Museum will adjust lighting and sound, have trained volunteers and additional staff, and offer programs that appeal to families who could benefit from a less stimulating atmosphere.
Please note that advance tickets (for non-members) are $8 per person; tickets at the door will be $9 per person. Admission for members is free, but advance registration* is preferred, as ticketing will be limited. Day-of admission for this program will be through the Education Lobby, located to the right of the main Museum entrance.
ALERT: The Boonshoft Museum will be undergoing construction during the February event date. Please be aware that the first floor restrooms will be CLOSED during that time. Restrooms on the second floor will be open, and additional (heated & plumbed) restrooms will be available near the main entrance. Questions? Call us! 937.275.7431, ext. 125.
*Additional information about each date, as well as registration pages for advance ticketing, will be available two (2) months prior to each program under the specific date in the Museum's calendar.
