Whether you are a family of four or a classroom of twenty, the Boonshoft Museum’s professional educators will get you excited about science and the world around you!
Science Educator Workshop: Increasing Literacy Skills Through Scientific Journaling
Join our experienced staff for a three-hour workshop designed just for educators! Discover concrete tools that will allow your students to practice scientific observation in and around the classroom while also developing critical reading and writing skills. Workshop includes methods for incorporating the scientific method, opportunities for collaborative student work, and choice of picture book featured during the session.
Workshops for up to 30 participants can be booked at your site, based on instructor availability. Must be scheduled at least four (4) weeks in advance. Cost: $750

People of all ages experience hands-on learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math during Museum Public Programs like Creative Science and Mobile Learning. In addition, teachers can arrange one-of-a-kind experiences for their students either inside the classroom with Exhibits-To-Go or inside the Museum with Field Trip Workshops that meet current content standards.
